Valerie Owens wrote this gripping, true story in such a way that it pulled me in and had me reliving her experience as the words leapt from the pages. I could not put it down! This book chronicled her incredible trek to Nigeria with a fellow graduate student and I must tell you that I could not put it down. It left me hankering for more.
This book is a must-read and I am looking forward to a sequel (or anything else, really) from this very talented author. Pick up your copy today.

Wonderful book and a Wonderful Woman wrote this book! I cried after I read this book because this Woman still stayed a loving, caring, and kind Person after everything she had been through!
This book is great for everyone who wants some empowerment and lift me up spirit in their lives, especially if they go through some hard times and want to see what other people go through too. It will help them to realize how lucky they might be, even to stay alive!
